2012 Patio Furniture Trends and New Patio Furniture Collections
2012 spring-summer season is almost here. I will write a series of blogs reviewing new trends and collections of patio furniture and outdoor living products that will be offered in 2012.
I would like to start with a very exciting new collection from Siesta which was introduced in the second half of 2011. This is the Siesta Rattan collection which is marketed in the US under the name Wickerlook. This entire collection is very exciting because I have been selling woven furniture for 11 years and never came across such an innovative technology. Wickerlook is a combination of polypropylene mono-block furniture with the looks of woven luxury furniture. Wickerlook technology offers 100% woven looking resin furniture. This is important because one of the main complaints about wicker woven furniture is the life time of the wicker. Once wicker cords start breaking they start unraveling out of the frame rendering the furniture useless. Also broken wicker looks horrible. If you would like to see examples of this go to your nearest outdoor restaurants and cafes and you'll see lots of woven chairs that are broken and unraveling. All the investment put in to expensive wicker chairs with aluminum frames can disappear in a few years when the furniture starts unraveling. Wickerlook has put a stop to this. Miami Beach collection offers dining chairs, dining tables, lounge chairs, sofas, coffee tables and chaise lounges that looks like woven but in actuality made with mono-block resin. Same rich brown colors and also white and charcoal is available that resemble woven furniture. Wickerlook patio furniture is made with open weave design that resembles traditional woven wicker furniture. This provides extreme durability which the will never break and unravel.
Ibiza Chair: Woven looking dining arm chair is already the hottest thing in the hospitality market. We already have large orders from resorts, hotels and restaurants.
Verona Chair: Woven looking modern dining chair. Stackable chair is deeper than regular side chairs which makes it more comfortable.
Miami Lounge Furniture: Miami club chairs and sofa is great for commercial settings as well as residential use. Club chairs and sofas stack for easy storage. Cushions are two inch thick.
Miami Chaise Lounge: Luxury resort chaise lounge has an adjustable back. Woven looking structure with carefully designed chaise lounge.
Miami Dining Sets: Miami patio dining sets are available in square and rectangle tables. Miami dining tables have a tinted glass top. Tables are heavy with aluminum reinforced legs.
I believe Miami Beach collection will be our biggest hit this spring-summer. We already have lots of reviews from early buyers. We haven't received any negative feedback. So let's keep an eye on this new furniture trend. Siesta already has more items to add this collection. We are expecting Aruba club chair to start production in May 2012. Werzalit top square and round tables are already available. These tables will be ideal for restaurants and cafes. Woven pedestal will a great complement for Verona and Ibiza chairs.
