We have checked the box after several rain showers and noted the contents inside remain dry. The product was easy to assemble. But one unresolved problem we encountered and could not be satisfied with is the bottom of the left and right sides will not lock into position like the front and back pieces. I'm not going through the hassell of shipping this product back for replacement, I'll rate this purchase as a second hand unit from a yard sale even thought it might be a manufacturers defect.

Also, the top does not fit well and we have to use our knee to push in the front panel to meet the top when we close it down. I have another chest that is similar in material and a much better fit and though it is a bit smaller, fits well together and is as sturdy as this more expensive one, but we have had it for several years and can't remember where we purchased it.Probably at the Christmas Tree Shop. We think the quality does not justify the high price we paid. Sorry folks, but I would not recommend this item.
